”BEYOND LEFT BEHIND”…
Individual or group meetings are available. There is no course that someone can take to learn how to deal with and get through the grief of losing a loved one. Grief affects each person in a different yet compellingly similar way. If we could all learn the feelings and emotions that come with the loss of a loved one then getting through the storm would be quick and easy. Together with Christ we can weather the storm. What I learned during the first 12 months of existing will help you back to the land of the living. I offer you strategies and a caring heart to help understand and teach you how to deal with 7 stages..Of..Grief..Contact..me..for..more..details…214-923-5892

Easier Said Than Done…By Royel Clark
Last week our Pastor talked about a family in need and asked the congregation to give a little extra to help them out. I had just given my tithe and I had enough money left for lunch after Church. This was great opportunity to show my faith. I saw that others were giving so I thought maybe I’ll pass on this one. The other day I pulled up to a traffic light and there was a one legged man holding a sign saying “Disabled Vet, please help with food”. I had just pulled out of McDonalds and had opened my sandwich and took a bite as his eyes met mine when I pulled off. I said to myself... “Maybe I should go back and help him” when I saw the driver behind me pass some money to the old vet as I looked in my rearview mirror. Last night I was singing and rehearsing a new song for an upcoming concert. I was singing “I Won’t Let Go” that Rascal Flatts has out. The chorus of that song to me says that…GOD is speaking to us. It says…
I will stand by you, I will help you through…When you’ve done all you can do and you can’t cope; I will dry your eyes, I will fight your fight, I will hold you tight and I won’t let go.
I began to tear up and think about the days behind me and how I could have and should have helped those in need at the time. It seems it is so much easier said than done. As I thought farther back over the months and years I recalled several times that I passed by opportunities to help someone who was less fortunate than I. Why is it when it comes to DOING things we sometimes fall short? I may think of a situation, then I’ll talk about it but when it comes to putting my words into action I fall short? I guess a lack of early learning is part on my inability to complete the process of doing what I say sometimes. After all, life is much easier dreamed than lived. Pain is much easier to bear if you never have it. Happiness is easier to have if you accept it. BUT, doing what we should do a lot of the time is easier said than done. Words can help you and they can hurt you too. I’ve been on both ends and I know! We say a lot of things that cover a wide spectrum of situations. We have all said too little or too much at one time or another. I’m not sure who else can relate to this but I do. You know, it would have been so much easier for Christ to just simply teach, preach and lead and then go home and rest. Yet HE chose to take it to the cross. ALL the things Christ did for us was done in love. Everything HE said HE would do…HE DID. As a result of HIS actions, you and I can have life today and have it more abundant. He didn’t take the easy way out and we should not either. The only way that I can make a difference in life to be more like HIM.
So, here’s my proclamation to God… I’m going to always put HIM first, praise HIM always, serve HIM daily, see others through HIS eyes, give a little more, take a little less, share more joy, spread more love, complain less, try harder, be more compassionate, pray for lost ones salvation, respect others more, reach higher, stretch farther, hold on tighter, sing louder, sing deeper, sing stronger, PRAISE Him in my PAIN and be more of what I claim to be…”A Christian”. There I’ve said it! That was easy. Now, let’s see if I do it! You know it’s much easier if you have a friend to pray with and talk to on this journey of life…Amen and Amen! God bless you and through He will bless others.
